The Northwest Area Association was formed to provide opportunities for conservation district supervisors and staff to exchange information across district boundaries, for district supervisors to deliberate and secure consensus on natural resource issues, affect cooperation between districts’ staff, and inspire district supervisors to full acceptance of their leadership responsibilities. Every year the area meets to raise awareness of regional conservation issues, sit down with state conservation leadership, elect representatives to the WACD Board of Directors, and to seek consensus on proposals to bring to the annual statewide meeting.

The 2023 Meeting’s Agenda with Zoom link and the 2022 Meeting Minutes will be sent in an email closer to the event date.

AGENDA ITEMS AND FINALIZED RESOLUTIONS proposed for action at this year’s meeting should be emailed to Kim Williams () before COB Friday, September 27, 2023, or earlier. We will email a copy of all submitted resolutions in advance of the meeting so that attendees have time before the meeting to review, consider and prepare for discussion. To access the resolution template and resources, visit https://wadistricts.us/wacd/resolutions/.

District Reporting: During the meeting, we will ask each district to share a summary of your activities and highlights. Feel free to use one or both of the following prompts for your summary: (1) When you reflect on the past fiscal year, what are you most proud of as a district? and/or (2) What current or upcoming project or new partnership are you most excited about for your district? We will give each district five minutes for their summary. Please plan for this activity in advance by preparing your answer to ensure that you can adhere to the time constraints.
