View the Skokomish River in Flood…Live!

Those photos you’ve seen in years past of salmon swimming across a flooded road? That was probably the Skokomish Valley Road with the Skokomish River in flood.

There is a live camera feed (sponsored by Hood Canal Communications) of a section of the road in flood on YouTube. Maybe you’ll see some salmon! (Hint: watch for their shadowy forms to swim by between the fence and the bottom of the camera view.)

Driving through flood waters is not recommended.

We did observe some fish crossing from time to time.
