Opportunities for Beginning and Veteran Farmers: Webinar April 1 at 10 a.m.
The U. S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) Farm Service Agency (FSA) offers a wide range of resources to help beginning and veteran farmers and ranchers start or expand their operation. FSA defines a beginning farmer as someone who has not operated a farm or ranch for more than 10 years. Through its programs and loans, FSA supports beginning and veteran farmers in funding their operation, managing risk, and building long-term success.
FSA in Washington will host a webinar on Wednesday, April 1 at 10:00 a.m. to provide beginning farmers and ranchers with information about FSA programs and loans. The webinar will also cover first steps to participating with USDA, as well as additional actions beginning farmers can take as they start their farming journey. It will also highlight additional resources available outside of FSA to further support their agricultural goals.
This webinar is designed for individuals who are new to agriculture or who are looking to grow their operation and offers a chance to learn about available tools and connect with support networks that can help them move forward with confidence.
