LEAVENWORTH — It’s not every landowner who’d agree to turn part of their back yard into a wetland, but Patti and Vince Bosket are doing just that to their property along Eagle Creek.

The Boskets sought out Cascadia Conservation District when they heard about its program to install beaver dam analogs — wooden uprights planted in narrow, beaverless waterways and threaded with natural vegetation — to revive historic watersheds in the Upper Wenatchee and Entiat valleys.
