Voluntary Stewardship Coordinator, Walla Walla CD

Position Description

The Walla Walla County Conservation District (WWCCD) is seeking an entry-level full-time voluntary stewardship coordinator to join our team and help complete our mission of conserving and enhancing natural resources in the county through voluntary participation and education.

The District has a talented team of passionate and committed people who are mission-driven and care deeply about serving and improving our community. Our dynamic organization is led by volunteer board members and paid staff members who help landowners implement “on-the-ground conservation.” The successful candidate will work closely with local landowners, coworkers, and conservation partners to develop and implement conservation plans specific to each landowner’s needs.

Work closely with partners, staff, and landowners to implement VSP program elements, including reporting, data management, planning, and Best Management Practices (BMP) implementation, etc. Budgeting and creating projects that align with the Annual Plan of Work. Write grants to gain funding for projects that will better our natural resources. Implement projects from start to finish in cooperation with partners, staff, and landowners. Monitor projects and natural resources for compliance. Includes other duties as assigned.

Compensation

Salary: $20-25 per hour DOE
