Port Of Moses Lake, Conservation District Request Federal Study For W20 Water Project
MOSES LAKE – The Port of Moses Lake and Columbia Basin Conservation District have formally asked the U.S. Bureau of Reclamation to begin an operational study tied to the proposed W20 Lateral Extension Project, a step local leaders say is needed to better evaluate the project’s feasibility and potential impacts.
The request was submitted in an April 22 letter to Marc Maynard, manager of the USBR Ephrata Field Office. The letter was signed by Port of Moses Lake Executive Director Dan Roach and Columbia Basin Conservation District Executive Director Kristina Ribellia.
