Volunteers improve salmon habitat in Stanwood for Orca Recovery Day

About 50 volunteers gathered at Puget Sound Public Farms in Stanwood Saturday, Oct. 18, with a mission to improve the environment for local salmon and orcas.
The event was part of an international “Orca Recovery Day,” a day of action to build awareness and make a difference for the Puget Sound’s local orca population.
The Snohomish Conservation District ran Saturday’s event for Stanwood residents and Camano Islanders.
