What a Great WACD Conference!
The WACD Executive Office Team extends a warm thank you to all who participated in the WACD 2024 Annual Conference and Business Meeting.
WACD has a new president in Amy McKay with the Whitman Conservation District and a new vice president in Jeff Schibel with the Lincoln County Conservation District. They pick up the reigns from Past President Mike Mumford with the Pend Oreille Conservation District.
Conference attendance was up, we had more sponsors than ever, and strong partners participated. The Envirothon auction was great fun and raised a lot of money for a good cause.
The facility proved to be very good (except perhaps for the smoky walk through the casino) and the meals were quite good. WACD staff also appreciated the care and attention provided by facility staff.
WACD was also able to bring our Director of Nursery Operations, Jim Brown, to the conference to visit with attendees. Jim’s presence was appreciated. Other WACD staff also worked behind the scenes to help WACD deliver this conference experience to members and partners.
If you attended and did not receive a conference survey form in your email inbox, please drop us a note at oly@wacd.org so we can get that to you.
Again, thank you. We extend our best wishes for a wonderful holiday season to you and those in your care.
