Lewis CD Planner/Stream Team Coordinator Position

Position Description

This position will be Resource Technician 1 for the Lewis Conservation District. The employee will perform activities as directed by the District Manager. The main duties will be resource planning and Stream Team coordination. The position will also have direct oversight from and provide assistance to the CREP Coordinator, Watershed Liaison and the Special Projects Coordinator. Areas of assistance include nutrient management, irrigation water management, CREP, VSP, special projects, and education and outreach.

Major Duties

1. Coordinate and oversee stream team educational activities and work events
2. Work with landowners to develop or update and implement conservation plans including nutrient management for livestock, dairy and poultry operations, irrigation water management, VSP, and CREP.
3. Develop project plans and help with developing best technologies for each practice.
4. Utilize various computer programs for word processing and spreadsheet entry. Additional computer knowledge in ArcGIS software is desirable.
5. Use survey equipment to help with surveying for creating designs and construction inspection of practices.
6. Position will include some field work in inclement weather and rough terrain.
7. Stream Team Coordination may include in class education and public information presentations.
8. Other duties as assigned by District Manager.

Compensation

Terms: Regular full-time position (40hrs/week), with benefits. Overtime eligible.
Hiring Wage Range: $4,000.00 — 4,600.00 per month
