Conservation districts to hold forest landowner workshop

Saturday, April 6th northwest Conservation Districts in partnership with the WA Dept of Natural Resources Northwest Region, and the Natural Resources Conservation Service, are offering a hybrid workshop covering current cost-share programs for forest landowners. This is a hybrid workshop with a virtual option. If you are a forest landowner outside of Whatcom, Skagit, San Juan, Island and Snohomish counties, please register for the virtual option.

The participating agencies will share information about their individual assistance programs for forest landowners, such as the state Department of Natural Resources’ cost share program to help cover the cost of treatments for wildlife mitigation or forest health, and the Family Forest Fish Passage Program, which helps fund the replacement of culverts that block fish passage.

The workshop will be held 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Breazeale Interpretive Center at the Padilla Bay National Estuarine Research Reserve and virtually.

Register for the workshop here.
