Conservation members earn kudos from state association

Two members of the Underwood Conservation District (UCD) Board of Supervisors Bill Anderson and Sherry Penney received recognition for five years of service at a state-wide meeting of Washington conservation districts in November.

Anderson and his wife own and operate a farm in the Buck Creek watershed of Klickitat County. Penney and her husband own and operate a tree farm in the Rattlesnake Creek watershed.

In addition, Penney received an award from the President of the Washington Association of Conservation Districts for her work on a state-wide committee to propose solutions for improving operations of conservation districts across the state.
