The next three groundwater replacement systems in the Odessa Subarea are now fully funded through a combination of federal and state funding and will move forward with construction. The three large-scale irrigation systems will conserve approximately 55,278 acre-feet of water in the Odessa aquifer each and replace approximately 18,426 acres of deep well irrigation with Columbia River water, according to the Columbia Basin Conservation District and East Columbia Basin Irrigation District.
