WACD PMC seeking Farm Operations Supervisor

The Washington Association of Conservation District Plant Materials Center (WACD PMC) is looking for a Farm Operations Supervisor.
We are a bare root seedling nursery located in Skagit County, WA. This is an hourly (40 hours per week), permanent full-time position. Work hours are generally 7:00am to 3:30pm (Monday – Friday). No travel required.
Job Description
Employee will be required to perform a variety of duties related to general farming operations including ground preparation, planting, irrigation, and harvest. The majority of the work activities will be related to the operation of various tractors and implements such as a plow, field cultivator, and rototiller. The employee must be willing to learn specialty nursery implements such as a lifter, undercutter, transplanter, and seed drill. Workers must have the ability to operate, maintain and perform basic repairs on tractors and other farm equipment as well as perform and document routine maintenance on equipment. During harvest, the employee will be responsible for operating the lifter, maintaining banders, and supervising a 6-person crew. Bilingual English/Spanish is a bonus but not a requirement for the position.
Must be a team player and able to sit for extended periods of time on motorized farm equipment.
