The Snohomish Conservation District has an opening for a full time Engineer to provide natural resource engineering services to landowners, District staff, and partner organizations. The primary geographic region for this position will be Snohomish County and Camano Island, however, some work will also be completed in King, Pierce, and Clallam counties. A successful candidate will have expertise in one or more of the following areas: green stormwater infrastructure design, such as rain gardens and bioswales; agricultural best management practice design, in accordance with USDA-NRCS design standards; fish passage barrier removal; in-stream and floodplain habitat restoration. Key qualifications include a professional engineering license, or ability to obtain a license within 12 months, and an understanding of engineering in the context of natural resource management.
