Okanogan Conservation District seeks help with countywide drought preparedness plan

With increasingly frequent droughts — this is the third year in a row that the Methow Valley has been in an official drought emergency — the Okanogan Conservation District is developing a countywide drought-preparedness plan.
The plan will address the threat of drought, assess hardships associated with water supply, and identify projects that could mitigate risks or improve resiliency. The goal is to better understand the current and future water needs of Okanogan County. All projects and interventions would be voluntary.
