Underwood CD Monitoring Technician Position

Position Description

The Monitoring Technician will serve as an integral member of a team of conservation professionals, working in both the field and the office, and will be responsible for conducting natural resource monitoring and relating information to the public, partners, and funders. Additionally, the Monitoring Technician will assist and support District staff in carrying out various tasks under the District’s annual plan of work. Funding for this position is provided by grants and relies on successful future grant applications. This is a temporary, non-exempt position through June 30, 2025, and may be extended if longer-term grant funding can be secured.

Compensation

  • Starting at $25-$30 per hour, depending on qualifications and experience
  • Paid Holidays Long-term employment may include full benefits: vacation and sick leave, medical insurance, and Washington State PERS retirement plan
  • Up to 40 hours per week; flexible schedule within the work week with prior approval
