Grays Harbor Stream Team Coordinator

Position Summary

Water Quality Science, Outreach, and Education (Ecology Grant Implementation) Expand Stream Team programs in targeted water quality impairment areas. Develop and lead Riparian Stewardship events to highlight the importance of riparian vegetation. Create a volunteer-based Macroinvertebrate monitoring program, including selecting monitoring sites, developing sampling procedures, and engaging the community in educational tasks. Conduct stormwater education activities and community presentations. Organize water quality “pub talks,” event tables, and field trips to river restoration sites. Track grant activities and budget with outreach, watershed restoration, and fiscal staff. Regular Stream Team Programming and Administration Implement the Stream Team Activity Plan with the Steering Committee. Apply for and manage additional grants for Stream Team activities. Coordinate monthly Stream Team Steering Committee meetings. Recruit and maintain a volunteer corps for stream-focused activities. Plan and coordinate volunteer streamside enhancement

Compensation

Salary/Benefits: $22-$25/hour
