The Snohomish Conservation District (SCD) has an opening for a full time Project Manager position to develop and manage implementation of complex multi-benefit projects in the floodplains of the Snohomish and Stillaguamish Rivers. These projects reflect priorities identified by the farming community in the Agriculture Resilience Plan for Snohomish County (https://snohomishcd.org/ag-resilience) and through participation in the Sustainable Lands Strategy (https://www.fishfarmflood.org) – specifically through the SLS Integration Teams (https://www.fishfarmflood.org/sls-it).
The Project Manager will continue to develop these and other projects that advance salmon recovery, flood risk reduction, and agricultural protection and viability, leading implementation of projects and priorities identified in the Agriculture Resilience Plan as well as representing those needs to partners and stakeholders. A successful candidate will have strong project management skills, a background in both floodplain management and agricultural viability, and skills in partnership building and collaborative engagement, and be passionate about natural resource protection and agricultural viability.
