The Palouse Conservation District is recruiting to fill three positions:

Grants and Development Manager

The Grants and Development Manager is responsible for overall grants/contracts management, strategic funding development to support Conservation District programs and services, program forecasting, annual plan development and oversight, and serving as a liaison to funding sources and partners. The Grants and Development Manager provides administrative leadership to assist the Director with the coordination, management and administration of the annual plan of work by coordinating district programs to deliver conservation services throughout the Palouse Conservation District service area. The Grants and Development Manager ensures that all District grants, contracts, and annual plan of work activities are provided are in accordance with applicable local, state and federal laws, regulations and policies.

Finance and Administrative Manager

The Finance and Administrative Manager will provide overall financial leadership, management and oversight, including business planning, budget development, financial analysis, strategic thinking and sustainability planning for Palouse Conservation District. The Finance and Administrative Manager is responsible for higher level HR functions. The Finance and Administrative Manager reports to the Director and provides administrative leadership by performing and managing multiple functions across the Finance and Admin Program to serve as a key adviser and coordinator of office management, finance, operations, admin, and HR. This position will supervise the administrative/fiscal team. The Finance and Administrative Manager ensures that all District financial, administrative, HR, and business operations are provided are in accordance with applicable local, state and federal laws, regulations and policies.

Research and Monitoring Specialist

The Research and Monitoring Specialist’s primary purpose is to assist Program Leads, the Director and the Board of Supervisors in the development and implementation of monitoring programs that assess the effectiveness of conservation practices implemented by the District. Serving as an integral member of a team of conservation professionals working both in the field and office. The position will assist with planning, organizing, and coordinating stream, wetland, soil, habitat and other monitoring programs and projects; organizing and coordinating public events; and assisting other staff in carrying out miscellaneous grant or contract-related tasks as part of the District’s annual plan of work. The successful candidate will become a member of the District’s team of natural resource conservation professionals working together to enhance and protect natural resources within the District.
