DESCRIPTION:On July 25\, 1946\, at the Morrison Hotel in Chicago\, Illinois\, 18 representatives from 17 states created the National Association of Soil Conservation District Governing Officials. In 1970\, during the annual convention in San Francisco\, the association’s name was shortened to the National Association of Conservation Districts (NACD). \nAs part of NACD’s 75th Anniversary celebration\, the 2021 NACD Summer Conservation Forum and Tour is returning to where the association was born in Chicago! \nAs the second-largest NACD event of the year\, the gathering brings together hundreds of conservation district leaders from across the nation\, including tribal representatives and representatives from the U.S. territories. \nThe agenda includes a full NACD board meeting\, a conservation forum plenary session\, and a set of conservation-minded tours. DESCRIPTION:The 2021 WADE annual conference is just around the corner! \nThe conference is virtual again this year\, but it should be better than ever! \n\n\nThe WADE Conference will be held virtually on June 14\, 15\, and 16 from 9am-3pm. \n\n\nAs always\, you are free to move around between Tracks to catch everything that is of interest to you. \n\n\nAll sessions will be held in one of four GoToWebinar “rooms”. You will need to register for each of the Rooms you want to attend a session in. Once registered\, you can visit a room at anytime over the three days with the same link. \n\n\nJoin us for the Opening Session and Keynote presentation on June 14 in Room 1. Hear updates from partners and cast your vote for new WADE officers\, then have the unique opportunity to hear Dean Longrie\, Chair of the WA Conservation Commission share words of wisdom and answer all your questions about the Commission. \n\n\nTo bring back some of the WADE conference networking vibe\, there will be two Social Hour events this year! On June 14 from 3:00-4:00 there will be a number of networking rooms and on June 15 from 3:00-4:00 will be Envirothon Trivia (yay!). Let’s connect and share! \n\n\nThere will be door-prizes awarded throughout the day in all Rooms\, so be sure to keep your eyes out for those! \n\n\nDon’t Panic! All sessions will be recorded and posted for those who aren’t able to make the live presentations. \n\n\nTo ensure that no one is left out of the fun\, WSCC and WADE are offering $250 WADE Scholarships to support your time to attend the conference this year!
