Palouse Conservation District Awarded Grants
PULLMAN — The Palouse Conservation District was awarded approximately $1 million in state grants for watershed improvement projects.
The district received approximately $1 million dollars from the Washington State Department of Ecology through the Water Quality Combined Funding Program.
Approximately $500,000 will be used to pay for riparian improvements in the Palouse River watershed.
The district received an approximate $300,000 grant to fund water quality improvements for Wilbur Creek at Washington State University’s Knott Dairy Center.
